How we are responding to covid 19


We know that your holiday is precious time for you, your family and friends and we want to make your trip as enjoyable as possible. Please see the information below on what we are doing to keep everyone safe and precautions to take whilst staying at Villa Sunrise.

Before You Go - Are you and the rest of your party fit to travel? If you are booking to stay at Villa Sunrise, we will assume that everyone has had at least 2 vaccinations. Although not necessary for those under 16 years of age. We recommend that all members of your party are double vaccinated on confirmation of the booking, as this will be the most efficient way to keep your holiday on track.

Please visit www.gov.uk/coronavirus to review the latest government information regarding travelling to Croatia and Covid-19. If you do need to get a fit to fly test or any type of lateral flow test, please check the latest advice on which test is valid for entry to Croatia. If you need to take a test whilst on holiday our villa manager will be able to assist you with finding a suitable test centre.

Essential items: There are a few items that in the past wouldn’t have made your holiday essentials list, but it would be wise for you to consider packing the following items alongside your sun cream.

  • Face masks - useful if you are visiting any popular tourist attractions, where the volume of people might make it difficult to social distance. Fabric masks should be washed each day so you may need to think about packing a few if you are planning regular days out.
  • Hand sanitiser - for when out and about, where it may not be possible to wash your hands.
  • Disinfectant wipes

Check-in times - Whilst we are undertaking additional cleaning at the property, and this can sometime affect your check-in and check-out times.

Additional attention is being given to areas which receive high or frequent use, such as:

  • Doorknobs (inside and out), doorframes, light switches, blinds, stair bannisters, keys, and window handles
  • Remote controls, thermostats, chairs, tables and highchairs
  • Appliances such as ovens, fridge freezers, toasters, kettles, irons, hair dryers and vacuum cleaners
  • Toilets, taps, sinks, shower heads, faucet handles, shampoo and soap dispensers
  • Bins, including outdoor bin lids will be disinfected
  • Umbrellas, mops, dustpans & brushes and brooms
  • Outside areas such as garden furniture, barbeques, play areas, sheds, garages, shared entrances

We will provide guests with extra cleaning materials should they wish to take any extra precautions on arrival at the property.

Should anyone experience symptoms during your holiday, please contact our villa manager for the latest advice and test centre.

Please Note: There is currently no evidence that the virus that causes Covid-19 can be spread to people through the water in pools, hot tubs, spas, or water play areas. Proper operation and maintenance (including disinfection with chlorine and bromine) of these facilities should deactivate Covid-19 in the water.

Returning to the property after a day out

Wash your hands for 20 seconds – every time you come back to the property to help keep your party safe.

Keep the property well ventilated.
